Windham/Willimantic Branch of the NAACP

About

The NAACP has been committed since its founding in 1909 to racial justice education of the American populace. Over one hundred years later, we are still fighting to bring truth about American history to our children and exposing a segregated population to structural issues that keep that history hidden.

Our chapter exemplifies the tradition of interracial peoples working together for racial and social justice. With this project, we feel strongly that people from Black and Brown communities be present during lessons and activities to offer an authentic voice during classroom discussions in our mostly white communities.
